Terms of Service

Welcome to Bybel. By downloading, installing, or using the Bybel mobile application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About Bybel

Bybel is a daily Bible reading app that presents one passage from the King James Version (KJV) each day, guiding you from Genesis to Revelation over time. The App also includes a full Bible reader, daily reflections, ambient media, and an interactive map of biblical locations.

2. Account & Authentication

You may sign in with Apple (iOS) or Google, or you may use the App without creating an account. If you sign in, your account is managed through our secure authentication service. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. An account is required to subscribe to Bybel Pro.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Bybel for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers or infrastructure.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its content.

4. Bible Content

Scripture text in Bybel is taken from the King James Version, which is in the public domain. Daily reflections, prayers, and editorial content are original works created for the App and remain our intellectual property.

5. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Bybel offers an optional paid subscription ("Bybel Pro") that unlocks premium features such as studio-quality Bible audio voices and additional content. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Payment — subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal — subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancellation — you may cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play → Subscriptions on Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided.
• Price changes — we may change subscription pricing. You will be notified in advance and must agree to the new price to continue your subscription.
• Free trial — if offered, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

6. User Data & Favourites

Your favourites, preferences, and reading history are stored locally on your device. Some settings may be synced to your account if you are signed in. If you uninstall the App without an account, this data will be permanently lost.

7. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services:

• Cloud infrastructure providers — authentication, data storage, and video hosting.
• Apple / Google — optional sign-in providers.
• CartoDB — map tiles for the Bible geography feature.

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

8. Media Content

The App streams ambient video and audio content to enhance your reading experience. This content is provided for personal use within the App only and may not be downloaded, copied, or redistributed.

9. Availability & Changes

We strive to keep Bybel available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Bybel is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that any content is accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. If you have an account, you may request deletion by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted within the App and on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
